Woke up at 6:45am had out hot drinks and went to explore the old logging camp together and with bear spray.
heart shaped moss 🙂
We walked on the beach and found another sea asparagus patch. Then we went to haul the crab pots and had four giant dungeoness crab – YUM lunch!
Left pretty much right away to make it through Surgess Narrows at slack tide and nailed it right on the nose! Dar made yummy looking eggs with salmon and goat cheese and I had my salmon plain of course. haha
We ran straight through to Sitka and worked on some boat chores – storing the crab pots cleaning the deck, collecting the laundry, dealing with the garbage and recycling – into town to try to get the salmon processed but the plant wasn’t working 🙁 – we are trying to figure out a plan B for the big guy!
Then Mary is going to nap while Dar and I head into town to finish up town chores. Mary is filleting the giant salmon and we hope to vacuum seal it at Michael’s and freeze it so I can bring some home 😀 Exciting to be able to bring home salmon and halibut!
Dinner was the last of the Halibut I caught with Mary’s family on sea asparagus with figs and cashews, sides of broccoli and mashed potatoes. YUM
