day three and four - driving from somewhere in South Dakota to Chicago

Judi woke up REALLY REALLY REALLY early and managed to cover a lot of ground before sunrise. Thankfully the blowing snow from the previous night had subsided. Today's drive was filled with sunshine. Upon entering Wisconsin we crossed the Mississippi River which was pretty cool. After a quick but surprisingly thorough workout behind the tourist info center we continued eastward.States covered in our 48 hour mission from Seattle to Chicago:Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, IllinoisWe started listening to a really good audiobook recommended by our Friend Mary - Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand that made the hours go faster :)IMG_1007IMG_1008IMG_1009IMG_1010IMG_1011We arrived in Chicago for rush hoursssss but managed to make it to our friend Debbie's work by 6. We convinced her the best plan would be to cook her dinner at her house! Cotty made delicious seared tuna steaks with steamed spinach and a sauteed beet and mushroom dish - sooooo yummy!Next our friend Kevin came over at which point we changed locations to his house where we slept indoors and out of the car. It was still there and okay in the AM.We spent most of the next day checking out Chicago. We did get more friends in our bed so check out that updated section ;)IMG_3924IMG_1012IMG_1013IMG_1018IMG_1029IMG_1031IMG_1036IMG_1037IMG_1040IMG_1041IMG_1043IMG_1044IMG_1528IMG_1529IMG_1541
