2018-2021: Navigating the World During the Covid Era

Just before 2018 wrapped up, we managed to sneak in an exhilarating mini-getaway to Seattle with my wonderful cousin Rini. It was a whirlwind of fun!

2019 was supposed to be our year to recover from all our travels—well, that was the plan, at least! Instead, we kicked off the year by jetting off to Hawaii for Cotty’s sister’s wedding. As an unexpected treat, we also got to meet a charming local—a swimming sea turtle!

We discovered an amazing climbing spot that completely captivated us, and we're keeping our fingers crossed for a chance to return one day!

As 2019 drew to a close, we made a transformative decision to stop participating in tradeshows, parting ways with our booths. This marked the beginning of a new year and a new decade filled with possibilities. To celebrate, we embarked on a scenic mini road trip down the southern coast, eager to embrace what the future holds.

Thanks to the lockdowns, we found ourselves sticking close to our new digs—oh, did I mention we moved to Comox just a week before the first lockdown hit? Despite the restrictions, we managed to squeeze in a mini summer adventure to Hornby Island. Check out this cool pic from our getaway!

Strangely, 2021 felt even tougher than the year before. Yet, amidst the challenges, I found joy in discovering hidden hearts in the trees of the large park near our house—a small reminder of beauty and resilience in unexpected places.

Our grandest adventure in 2021 took us exploring around Vancouver Island, where we stumbled upon this breathtaking riverside gem! :D
