day twenty six - Disney WORLD!!
That was our weakest night of sleep in awhile - not for lack of comfort. It was because it was a really busy truck stop and at around 3am a car pulled in with a crazy loud pumping bass that did not go away for WAY too long - then at 6am the truck we were parked next to started up it's engine and it literally felt like an earth quake - we gave up and decided for an early start. We managed to scam another free shower and then fueled by caffeine we headed for Disney.
First stop was Epcot
Then we built our own ride called "Sum of all Thrills" and then went on "Mission Space" and finally rode "Test Track"Judi discovered the long line ups were perfect time to work out and had probably the best workout of the trip :) Ignoring the odd looks from people was of course crucial to the success of the venture!and we visited Norway and of course Canada :)
After that we caught a boat to Hollywood studios to ride "Rock n roller coaster"
Then it was a bus and monorail ride over to the Magic Kingdom to ride: "Space Mountain" we also stopped in for a giggle at the Monsters inc. Laugh Floor
after getting caught in a tropical downpour and getting completely drenched we decided to call it a day and we feel we did quite a lot for our one day Disney adventure :) downpour was actually quite funny and we had dry clothes close by so that was nice - it was tricky trying to deal with soaking wet clothes but tomorrow's sun will solve the problem!We then did some grocery shopping and ate non fancy salad in the parking lot for dinner - it was yummy and nice to eat something fresh.Next up we drove towards Cape Canaveral and ended up right in the middle of that same big storm - we saw lightning hit a telephone pole and short out along the line - it was quite something - when we arrived at the rest stop and it had no power and was quiet - just as we were falling asleep the power came back on - it was surprisingly blindingly bright so we made a few window adjustments and fell into a lovely long comfy night of sleep - until 6am that is - lol
