June 22, 2016 Day 1 Alaska in old tired fleece and new boots

We woke up to someone smashing their outboard into our anchor repeatedly because of someone else’s wake. It was not that pleasant an awakening :(. We forgot to eat breakfast and had left overs for lunch.Breakfast - :(Lunch - Leftover HalibutDinner - BBQ Salmon and saladWe felt somewhat refreshed except Cotty had a really sore throat :( We headed down Icy Straight toward Cross Sound. We made to Deer Harbour where we set up the trolling gear and attempted to troll for Salmon. Judi caught a nice Coho we forgot to take a picture of it. Cotty landed a nice Yellow Eye after when we were trying to Jig. Judi caught so many fish but none of them made it as keepers. It was really fun. After all that excitement we anchored in Deer Harbour up a nice quiet arm that we had all to ourselves. We had some nice naps and Cotty enjoyed the sunshine. We had yummy BBQ salmon for dinner and went for a really fun kayak adventure - Cotty had a fishing rod set up so he could troll as we paddled. He did catch a small fishing jigging - too small to keep :(Proseco toast for Dar on the Sol Duc at Solstice :D
