Olympic Peninsula - day 1 - Spring 2014

We started our journey in bright sunshine and short border waits. Stopped at REI only to find a gigantic bananagrams!We stopped to see the Skagit valley tulip festival in La Conner Washington - such pretty colours.Saw this strange structure - what could it be for?A quick peek at Deception pass on Whidbey Island - so pretty.Cool car waiting with us at the Coupeville ferry - we missed TWO :( - good thing we were set up for cooking. We enjoyed a YUMMY seared tuna and salad dinner parked in the ferry line up - other people were most definitely jealous.We eventually made it to Salt Creek campground but were too late to find our friends. We set up in a sweet horse trailer parking spot for an oh so comfy night of sleep.
