2024: A Year of Challenges and Close-to-Home Adventures

Believe it or not, we found ourselves back in Toronto! We agreed to drive a car back for a friend who had received it as a gift. It turned into a whirlwind journey, with minimal stops due to the weather and our eagerness to get back home.

My Australian cousins came to visit, and we took great pleasure in showing them the very best that Vancouver Island has to offer. It was a joy to share our favorite spots and local secrets with family from afar!

We returned to a magical spot for a little adventure, and this time, we took the plunge and swam! It was a refreshing and enchanting experience. We also explored Botanical Beach for the first time, immersing ourselves in its natural beauty and unique tidal pools.

We were incredibly fortunate to wrap up the year with a magical trip to Maui, all thanks to Cotty's sister! Maui's charm unfolded as we explored its vibrant landscapes and warm waters. Snorkeling brought delightful encounters with a tiny octopus and the most adorable little white fish speckled with polka dots. Our adventures also led us on a mesmerizing hike through a bamboo forest to a towering waterfall and up to the chilly summit of a volcano—perfect for donning our winter gear just before our flight back home. What a spectacular way to end the year!
