Cappadocia Green Tour May 9

Judi was very excited so she got up early and went for a litte walk. Breakfast was enormous and soon after we were picked up by a van and headed off on the recommended green tour. Our first of many stops was the Goreme Panorama.Next we headed to the underground city when when we got there the queue was really long. Our trusted guide Mesut made a good decision to continue on to the next scheduled stop with plans to return to the underground city later. After another 30 mins in the van we arrived at Pidgeon Valley which was really nice. We explored some really old caves. Rumour has it that George Lucas was inspired by this area, specifically the rock shapes in the selfie below. After Pidgeon Valley it was a short hop in the van to a nice river walk followed by lunch. Our second attempt to tour the underground city was successful. It was pretty incredible but hard to get a good picture. The final stop was the stone factory and showroom. Zultanite is a stone that is native to Turkey and Judi was interested in some small stones but ran out of time. Across the street was another beautiful valley. We had dinner reservations at a restaurant very close to our hotel. Stephanie and Cotty ordered the clay pots and our server let us break the tops off the pots ourselves. This turned out to be a subpar idea but it was definitely entertaining! Thankfully there was no photo evidence. By this point we were very tired.
