Çalis and beach adventure! May 5

He took a quick picture of the beautiful view from our room and then set off in search of fresh pressed juice. Despite not being as readily available as in Istanbul, the fresh orange juice was procured. Here’s a few pics from our first day of wandering near the Mediterranean Sea :)

Judi did some research and learned of a beauitiful place about 30 minutes drive away called Butterfly Valley. It was only accessible by boat so the race was on to rent a car and get there. We had to get fuel and ascend many hills in the gutless Renault rental and find parking. Spoiler alert: We missed the boat. But still had loads of fun in the sun!
Judi decided we should at least attempt to a view of the Butterfly Valley so we put the Renault pedal to the floor. It turns out the viewpoint is really good! And mountain goats!!
It was time to leave the warm sun but we ended up cooling down with another great view and delicious curry.
