Tinos to Santorini - May 16

We had to say good bye to Tinos and head for Santorini. We loved many things about Tinos; specifically the peace and tranquility and of course the beautiful scenery and tasty food. If this is what you're into then travelling to Tinos in late May or early June is highly recommended. If you can find your way to Mykonos it is a relatively short ferry ride to Tinos. The scenery and water colour were both very nice on our voyage from Tinos to Santorini. It took about 6 hours. The first thing you notice about Santorini is that an entire side of the island is a tall cliff down to the water. That was a surprise. After we got a ride to our Airbnb we had another surprise; it was also very cave like which reminded us a lot of Turkey. Our host was there fixing a window. She seemed stressed about the window situation and we tried to help her with it and make sure that it was not a big deal. She gave us a quick tour of the area and dropped us off near Red Beach where there are a couple of beachfront restaurants. After dinner we got a little bit lost on the long walk back but it worked out. We were happy to get some much needed rest.
