Meandering through France

We bid farewell to Chatou and set off on our first couple of days exploring the open road. While we were well-prepared, there were a few minor items we needed to pick up along the way to make our journey smoother. Fortunately, we managed to find almost everything we needed with ease! 😊 Following our successful scavenger hunt, we took to the country roads, meandering through charming small towns and soaking in the picturesque countryside. It was the perfect way to ease into our grand adventure.

We had the best sunset driving the first night.

We stumbled upon a charming town that surprisingly boasted a K-Way store! It was a delightful blast from the past to see that K-Way is still thriving. Who knew?

YES!! Proof of concept achieved! We recently stumbled upon this buried sailboat, which is exactly the inspiration we need. Given our conversations about undertaking a similar project, seeing this was a thrilling confirmation that our ideas are on the right track. Exciting times ahead!

We finally visited the giant sand dune and beach recommended by our wonderful host, David, from Chatou, Paris. The experience was truly magnificent and did not disappoint! Intriguingly, there were gigantic pieces of concrete scattered along the beach. If anyone has any insights or guesses about what they are or why they’re there, we’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

We finally made it to Dune du Pilat, and it was absolutely incredible! The views were breathtaking, and the experience was truly unforgettable.
