Day 2 - Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota
The gnu bed once again came through when we needed rest. Sadly it was only about four hours before the sun was coming up and after a quick sunset shot from our overnight parking spot we had to hit the road again. Prior to bed time Cotty got to chat with one of Montana’s finest after being clocked doing 65 in a 45 construction zone. Also judi was in bed with no seatbelt. The officer had mercy on our road tripping souls and let us off with a very reasonable no seatbelt fine paid by credit card. Back home the situation could have been about ten times worse. The commenter with the closest guess of the fine amount without going over will win a mystery prize. We had breakfast in a Target parking lot.We wanted to drive through Yellowstone Park this morning but we were short on time(border issue) and budget (see above). So we continued on our way on I-90E. It is now 10am mountain time and we still have several states drive on and another time zone to conquer today. Our goal is to be back in Canada at a decent hour on Wednesday. The sun is shining as Montana continues to represent its “big sky” moniker.Lunch was a success! Pizza :)Later we clicked over 160k: Cotty spotted antelope in Montana and Wyoming! Here is a pic he didn’t take. Here is an interesting animal made of steel. Every gas station needs one!Sunset in South Dakota.
