Nicaragua in ten days - Days 3 & 4 - Granada - Feb 12-22, 2018
This is Bella with, her rescue green parrot, Apple. They were our lovely hosts at Casa Bella - we had to say goodbye to them as it was time for the next adventure - after one more swim in the lake on our tÜber ;)Carlos our trusty guide picked us up to take us to Granada - he helped us find our next air bnb.
Our Colonial mansion was built in 1683 and was so much fun - luxury and conveniently located.
We found the Garden Cafe where we were able to refuel, relax and contemplate. I had yummy green chicken curry and Dar had local foodaliciousness.
We heard about a parade - we saw people who looked paradeish and we followed them to the beginning.
We learned that this was a parade to bury bigotry. Here lies bigotry:
The costumes were striking and atmosphere were wonderful.

We chatted with our host Beth and her friends a bit and then went to check out the poetry festival and then dinner at Pita Pita - YUMMY. Then walked around for awhile and listened to some more music and back to the mansion to stick our feet in the pool before bed.
